I LOVE this poem. “lush humid drops pounding” really unexpectedly describes those giant drop of a hot weather rain, but then the shift that can happen so quickly. And in just a couple of lines, we’re inside, warming up, smelling those biscuits. Oh, man, pass the honey, please.
